In 1976, Henry Scott, a passionate and talented flooring installer, decided to open a flooring retail store in Greensboro, North Carolina called Carpets By Henry. In the nineties, Henry and his wife Judy became members of the Carpet One Floor & Home Cooperative and rebranded it as Carpet One By Henry.

With access to 1,000+ retailers throughout the world and the buying power of a national company, business continued booming and soon they outgrew their original storefront.

Judy found the current location, in Greensboro, NC, and in 2003, Carpet One By Henry took on a second location in Winston-Salem, NC.

Today the business is still owned and managed by Henry and his family, including his wife, brother, son, daughter, and granddaughter! While Carpet One By Henry has gotten larger since its humble beginnings its products and services stay unmatched. As a business and family that cares about its communities, Carpet One By Henry actively participates in local school donations.
